The Officer level occupational groups and levels section is useful if looking for more permanent employment on the PSC link.

Comment: This is a one-stop site for resume, interview, salary and self-assessment information. There is lots of current advice, most of which is applicable to office type employment that may apply to other job sectors. The main attraction is the job search capability portion of the website.

Comment: A lot of information can be found on this site! Take a little time and set up a job account that will allow the user to post three profiles for viewing by employers; create three job alerts and have new jobs emailed; create up to five resumes for online application if the link is working! Take the career quiz on the site.

Title: Job Search Manual Canadian Site

Comment: A free online job search manual by Sunraye Enterprises of Burnaby B.C. can be found on this site! The comprehensive manual also has a must read section on the unemployment roller coaster. Much of the content is in a no frames format, so a text reader can easily read it.

Comment: This excellent site from the University of Waterloo has both great content and interactive features to help students and graduates prepare for the job search.

Comment: This excellent interactive site takes job seekers through the stages of choosing a career to accepting an offer. Be careful about navigating away from the site as it is easy to find yourself at another Government of Alberta web page. Use the back button to return to the Alberta Worksearch Online website. Tip: When you download a PDF worksheet you can enter your own answers using your computer keyboard and save or print your work. The master resume worksheet is highly recommended for all job seekers.

Comment: Aimed at youth up to 25 years old, this site has some excellent interactive features including the ability to create an archive your resume.

Title: The Insider’s Guide to Job Search Canadian Site

Comment: The appearance and navigation of this site is not ideal but beyond these design issues, job seekers may find some pearls. The job search articles are well written by Kevin Buckley who is a human resources expert. Also see the impressive list of links hand picked to be useful to Canadian job seekers.

Comment: This site has a few broken links but overall it is well designed. There is some fairly original content. There are no resident interactive features or media but the site does link to other interactive sites. Useful if the user likes easy to read text-based information.
